Patrick Rains, Director Content/Online Development

Patrick Rains joins SouthComm with more than 15 years experience in editorial/online management. Rains was named editor of Business Nashville magazine in 1993, later becoming editor of Online cityguide, Nashville Citysearch.com in 1997. Rains soon moved into a national role as Online Content Director, overseeing the launch and management of cityguides in numerous US markets, including Chicago, Phoenix, St. Louis and Houston. He also was responsible for implementing Citysearch’s user-generated content initiative. He most recently spent five years as Online Manager of the Tennessean, a daily newspaper in Nashville, TN, overseeing Online operations, editorial and sales efforts.

Rains holds a B.A. degree in English literature from Emory University.
